If you're a speedy reader, hurry and cop Zora Neale Hurston's "Hitting a Straight Lick with a Crooked Stick: Stories from the Harlem Renaissance" then head to Mahogany Books on Friday, March 6thfor its monthly book club discussion. 'Hitting' is an outstanding collection of stories about love and migration, gender and class, racism and sexism that proudly reflect African American folk culture. Events to Peep for the Month of February

Kickoff Black History Month officially on Tuesday, February 4th, when Busboys and Poets Books welcomes Secretary of the Smithsonian, NMAAHC Founding Director, Lonnie G Bunch III to discuss his new book "A Fool's Errand: Creating the National Museum of African American History and Culture during the Age of Bush, Obama, and Trump."
