Events to Peep for January, February, & March

Kick off the new year in Charm City when you head to the Baltimore Comedy Factory on Friday, January 5th, for some laughter courtesy of funny lady and new "The Breakfast Club" host Jess Hilarious. 8 & 10:30 p.m. Tickets: $40. Baltimore’s Hippodrome Theatre welcomes incomparable comedian and former “The Daily Show” host, Trevor Noah, for a four-night engagement of his “Off the Record” tour kicking off on Thursday, January 11th. 8 p.m. The Hippodrome Theatre. 12 N Eutaw Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. British singer-songwriter and creative artist Daley, known for his collaborations with Jill Scott, Pharrell Williams, and Marsha Ambrosius, heads to the Howard Theatre on Friday, January 26th, for one night only, bringing fans such hits as “Look Up” and “Broken.” 8 p.m. Tickets: $30+. Get ready to laugh when you head to the Woolly Mammoth for the opening night of premiere play, "The Sensational Sea Mink-ettes" on Sunday, February 4th.  Days away from their Homecoming half-time dance performance, everyone is expecting perfection from the Sea Mink-ettes. But as the big day creeps closer, the women must contend with flaring tempers, bodies pushed to their limits, and what it means to be a team in Vivian J.O. On Thursday, February 16th, head to Arena Stage for the opening night debut of “Tempestuous Elements,” which tells the story of formidable Black feminist and principal of D.C.’s historic M Street School’s Anna Julia Cooper and her fight for educational equity, freedom, and legitimacy at the turn of the 20th century. 8 p.m. Tickets: $76+. The prince of R&B slow jams, El DeBarge, closes out his two-night engagement at the Bethesda Theater on Sunday, February 25th, bringing fans over 30 years of grooves from “All This Love” to “Rhythm of the Night” to “Lay With You.” 7 p.m. Tickets: $79+.
