Happy New Year, Peepers! In order to better organize your entertainment calendars, WPT is moving to a quarterly posting schedule. Events for the first quarter of 2023 are below. Enjoy to the fullest!

January

Head to the heart of Georgetown to check out keyboardist, singer, and record producer, Frank McComb, at the historic Blues Alley on Thursday, January 26th, for the kickoff of a two-night engagement of smooth grooves and soulful vibes from "Love Natural" to "So Lovely" that you won't want to miss. 7 & 9 p.m. nightly. February

There's brunch and mimosas and then there's brunch and belly laughs. On Friday, February 10th, head to the Arena Stage for the opening night of The High Ground, which tells the story of a Black soldier who stands his ground atop Tulsa’s Standpipe Hill, where he bears witness to the destruction and desecration of Tulsa’s Greenwood District, while forces, both friendly and hostile, conspire to remove him. 8 p.m. Tickets: $72-$125. Actor and playwright, Regina Taylor, brings her world reknowned production of Crowns to the Baltimore Center Stage on Saturday, February 11th. Through a blend of gospel, poetry, and dance, Crowns tells the story of a young woman's journey down south and her rediscovering the importance of traditions, roots...and a hat for every occasion. 7:30 p.m. $20-$44. March

Head to the Miracle Theatre on Thursday, March 9th, to witness a tribute to Queen Bey like you've never experienced before courtesy of the Listeso String Quartet in a candelight-only setting where they'll perform 13 Beyonce hits from "Love on Top" to "Halo" to "Cuff It." Restaurant of the Month: If you can't jet off to the island to escape the winter chill, take a quick trip to minority-owned Tiki on 18th in Adams Morgan instead to enjoy a bit of island flavor.
